Internetworking with satellite constellations
the first sentence
A satellite constellation can be defined as a number of similar satellites, of a similar
type and function, designed to be in similar, complementary, orbits for a shared
purpose, under shared control.
-- Lloyd Wood, Internetworking with satellite constellations, Ch. 1, paragraph 1.
I reused the opening sentence of my PhD thesis in a book chapter summarising my doctoral work, and since then others have found it useful, too. That sentence now appears to have taken on a life of its own in the literature.
