Lloyd Wood - mentoring for the Ericsson Innovation Awards
Since October 2017 I've acted as a team mentor in the Ericsson Innovation Awards aimed at student teams. Some notable teams:
- 2022 - Schrodinger's Cats
- A team in Bangladesh, looking at refrigeration of the food supply chain to market. They had success in other competitions, including the Global Supply Chain Competition.
- 2021 - VAUSE
- An all-woman team based in Melbourne, looking at ultrasound for correct placement of lumbar punctures used to detect meningitis in babies' spines. The name is formed from the first letters of the countries that the members came from.
Reached the semi-finals, but had more success in competitions encouraging medical startups.
